Field Research in Education

The purpose of this program is for students to understand how English policy plays out in the actual classroom context as you examine teachers’ pedagogy styles, the classroom environment and students’ attitudes towards the language.

In addition to studying at the university, students will gain real world experience, because each student will assist in an elementary or high school in order to work with a Chilean English teacher in his/her classroom. Students will be responsible for working with the Chilean teacher in order to build a class environment that encourages language learning.
